DOCUMENTARY FILM

The documentary film by Gaui H. Pic is about the man behind the concept “FO Tatt Fest”, Fjølnir Geir Bragason, also known as Fjølnir Tattoo. The film shows Fjølnir’s journey through the lens of Gaui. Fjølnir and Gaui began their collaboration in 2018, when they embarked on journeys og started filming the documentary about the Faroese Tattoo convention, FO Tatt Fest. The scope narrative however was altered in December 2021, when Fjølnir unexpectedly passed away. Gaui depicts their journey as following:

“Everyone that knew Fjølnir knew what kind of a man he was... He had a big heart, and he was a true friend. And he did everything in his power to support his friends!

Me and Fjølnir met for the first time when I was 16 years old, I got my first tattoo from him. Many years later we decided to make a documentary about his journey to the Faroe Islands and his tattoo festival there, FO Tatt Fest!”

The documentary will premiere in Høllin in the Nordic House on May 22nd at 6pm.
